Personality: Yanagi’s short-term personality changes just as often as she does; she can be bold and boisterous one minute, cold and reserved the next. Whenever she gets a shock, her response is a tad animalistic; hissing and whipping around to face whatever surprised her. On the rare occasions that she doesn’t reflexively imitate a cat, she usually lashes out instead...that has led to a few broken noses. Needless to say, those close to her know not to surprise her anymore.
Despite that, she’s quite a friendly kid, if rather mischievous. She obeys rules most of the time, and does work hard, if only to prove that someone lacking a sense can do just as well as someone with all five.
Description: Yanagi’s name fits her build; willowy. She has quite fair skin, although she tends to get a slight burn that turns into a tan if she’s out in the sun a lot. She’s quite pretty, her usually smiling face framed by her very dark, almost black mid-back length hair with a single, natural crimson lock in her side fringe (or bang, whichever you call it) and deep green, mother-of-pearl-esque eyes. Her clothes are simple tops and jackets if needed, with cut-offs and the standard shinobi sandals.

Background: She was wandered into Konohagakure at the age of approximately 7, blind and with no personal memories except a name and birthdate. A couple found her and immediately tried to help her.
The trip to the hospital to see if they could do anything about her amnesia and to examine her eyes didn’t give her many results, though the latter examination told her that her blindness had been caused by head trauma; supporting the odd flashes of memory she had of colours and objects. There was a chance her sight would improve with time. She turned down the offer of having a medic nin try and heal it; she’d get by and wait for her eyes to heal by themselves.
The two who found her took her in, giving her a stable family life.
Soon after, Yanagi was enrolled in the academy.
Being blind wasn’t much of an issue in most lessons, apart from target practice. Without any guidance as to where the targets were, Yanagi was lost.
She was determined, however. After that initial session, where she’d stood still and not made a move in fear of looking stupid or, far worse, accidentally hitting someone with a kunai, she’d practiced. In real life, her target would be a ninja, and in a battle, they would most likely be moving. Moving usually equalled noise of some sort, so if she could get by using sound alone...
Five months after her first target practice in the Academy, Yanagi tried again, but asked her teacher to take the place of the target.
Humouring her, he acquiesced, moving around the arena with a kunai in hand, just in case she got lucky and threw a knife the right way.
No matter where he moved within a radius of ten metres, she kept up near flawlessly.
When he moved out of her range of hearing, which was slightly impacted by outside noise, she leapt after him, following easily. One kunai even cut through his flak jacket, though didn’t touch his skin.
Four years after enrolling in the academy, Yanagi became a genin. During this time, her kekkei genkai – which she’s had since birth – has improved and strengthened by a good margin.
Seeing her progress, Yanagi was entered into the Ninja Academy in Amegakure, to continue her learning. Though she misses her parents, and they miss her, they know that the academy will give her the best chance at surviving later in life..

Kasumi Juusha no Jutsu - Mist Servant Technique
Kasumi Juusha no Jutsu is a Genjutsu technique that creates false attackers to delay and confuse the enemy. Though these servants are not real, the actual ninja is able to remain hidden and throw kunai and shuriken matching the movements of the servants. This makes it appear the false servants are capable of attacking. When the enemy attempts to attack the servant, they will merely disrupt the servants illusion body but not destroy it.
Magen • Narakumi no Jutsu - Demonic Illusion • Hell Viewing Technique
Magen • Narakumi no Jutsu is a Genjutsu technique that causes its target to see a horrifying vision. The ninja will use the serpent hand seal to cause a circle of leaves to spin and envelop the target and then fall away. Once cast the world will appear normal to the target until they see the illusion.
Kai – Release
Kai is a Ninjutsu technique which allows the ninja to avoid the effects of a Genjutsu illusion. After forming the needed handseals, the Genjutsu technique will not affect the ninja. The ninja can also use the technique on another individual who was unable to avoid the attack. After forming the needed hand seals, the ninja touches the one affected to end the affect of the spell.
