The Shinu have a special connection with nature which they use even when not fighting. They communicate with the plants around them but don't seem to mind eating plants. They are usually medical ninjas once they get out into the world but can be powerful fighters if given the chance.
Bloodline Stages:
- Shinu
To die. That is its meaning. One awakes its power with the death of someone close. They can not kill them and it must be mourns with much sadness. Anger is a plus as it raises the chance of success in the transformation. The user slowly turn into a hound like creature. They appear to be a mix between a dragon and a wolf. At this stage they are already big enough and strong enough to carry a person or people. They usually stand at between 3 and 4 foot.
They have a powerful nose when it comes to tracking and like the people themselves can identify different plants without much effort. They eat poisonous plants which is then coated onto their teeth. In battle they can track a persons movements with plants. Fast in foot work they like to act as back up and not as a main fighter.- Heion Shinu
This stage is brought about when they see someone as their master. This person would be someone they respect and would die to protect.This usually is brought on when the void made by the one who died is filled. It can be one person or a group. The hound its self doesn't change but it grows horns and gets bigger.
Heion Shinu blends into area with a lot of plant life but only when calm. They seem transparent though this does use chakra in battle as they must keep hide. Their speed increases though only for short distances. Plant life seems to follow them around and bend even more to their will. Their sense for water increases as if left to wander on their own they will unconsciously travel toward it.- Gishin Shinu
Fearing to Die or fearing death. When the fear of dying is wakened with no hope of escape they achieve this power. They grow long whiskers and their tails split at the tip. Their fur gain a red tint or red in color where they were almost killed. Their horns get bigger but their body stays the same size most of the time.
As new skills they can seep into plant life but must come out in between 10 min and an hour or they will merge with the plant. It all depends if they are stressed or not. Materials they hit with their horns turn to wood or burst with plant life. When wet they disappear and in sunny weather their power is boosted. They are more effective in drawing chakra from sun energy and still maintain their past abilities.
Bloodline Side Effects:
- Shinu
In this stage they have short tempers. They go through pain when they transform if they are injured. When in human form they don't perform techniques as well as if they were in their hound forms. They are weak against fire and never wander away from nature.- Heion Shinu
A hellish dog the user will go nuts every now and then attacking people who aren't its 'master' in hound form. When in human form the user has to use chakra to stay like that if not they will turn into their hound form. When transforming many like to stay in the human like form as when they transform into and out of the hound form extreme pain follows. If they stay a hound for more than a week they are stuck this way as they slowly turn into wild animals.- Gishin Shinu
In this form the best plus is their is no draw back to staying in the hound form. The only thing that is bad on that part is they will be unable to control random fits of rage that will increase the longer they stay in that form. Their chakra doesn't natural come back to them so they must sunbathe. In hound they throw fits of rage that only happen usually when they get too far away from wide areas of plants but in Human form they get detached from the world. Usually when put in city where there are only a few trees. the user will slowly lose their ability to express emotion and many get sick easily.
